You need to post at least 2 times in a row if now 3 or 4 times in a row like Will so as to get that post count up to a high number quickly

    sorry.

  4. No b*tching or complaining intended. Just cusrious if you had skimmed over it since your reply had nothing to do with mine. "Yup, it didn't work" would have also worked for a response. Everybody here is just trying to help you know.

Well, good luck, hope you fix your problem, blah, blah, blah.

There is a new BAD BOY in town guys ...

    The CANOPUS ADVC-300

Looks exactly like the ADVC-100 and seems to work the same way EXCEPT it has a built-in TBC along with a 3D Y/C comb filter and 3D noise filter etc.

Pretty much all the same features as some of the stand alone DVD recorders (like those by Panasonic) but it still does DV captures which is better in my book since you have more control over your MPEG encoding such as doing a true 2-pass/multipass encoding etc.

So far I've only seen one website selling it at $549.95 USD but assuming the built-in TBC is of good quality then it is more than worth it because you are also getting the 3D Y/C comb filter and noise filter etc.

    It's so new who knows?

I mean I don't think hardly anyone has one just yet. There are no reviews of it in the CAPTURE CARD thing although it is listed.

According to the CANOPUS website the ADVC-300 just came out soemtime in December 2003

I'm just finding out about it today myself.

    - John "FulciLives" Coleman

    P.S.
It does look almost exactly like the ADVC-100 so we can HOPE that the MACROVISION trick still works.

Maybe the colour controls for your hardware overlays aren't configured properly. They can be usually adjusted in your video driver properties in the display control panel.
