  1. For OTA analog recordings, multipath not only created ghosts, but those ghosts would often pulsate as an airplane went by.

    You could also get somewhat similar, but more constant ghosting from mismatched impedances from bad terminations, or not converting correctly from twin lead (300 ohm) to cable (75 ohm). Whatever you have is probably caused by something different.

    It is always best, although not always possible, to determine what caused the problem in the first place. Dot crawl is a good example of this: once you know what you are dealing with, you can find all sorts of tools and techniques that have been developed to fix it.
