    Hey people

Hope this is the right section to post.

Got a 55 inch Sony bravia tv which is about 3 years now.

Just suddenly noticed a few days ago these tiny pixels appear on top right corner of the screen. Various colours. Wondered if anyone knows what causes it and more importantly how to fix it? Worries me a bit as more may appear randomly over time.

Please let me know if you guys have had this before.

Also I must add this is a very taken up close photo and these dots are the size of about 1mm each dot. They're tiny.

Does it always appear at the exact same place? If so than the panel itself could be at fault.

If it randomly appears it could be in the source material you are playing.
Or it could be encoding or decoding errors (it does looks so to me)

You could test the panel with a pixel test program, although i'm not familiar with that because i'm using linux.
On Linux you can test it with color pictures, like red, blue, yellow, white

It is not too much of a big deal because it is only taking up (space wise) about 4x4mm on top corner of screen. I can accept this but my main worry is... will more appear?

Yes it is always in the same place. Always the top corner but can only be seen if i stand close to the TV but thats only because its so small and hardly takes up any space. It seems the panel could be at fault then as they always appear there. Lol.. I have counted them too there are about 11 little dots... I just don't want more to appear randomly.

    Thanks guys for the reply

Do you know Sony warranty? I can't imagine it's more than 3 years. I found out I bought the tv in March 2016. Which sucks

Probably one year. That's pretty much standard.

  12. It's probably still worth the cost of an email to Sony and see what they have to say?
