Dears,
following my other post here
I would like to still understand how to extract only audio track from DVD movie without any degradation in terms of quality, size or avoid re-encoding to other video formats and then extracting audio part, etc. In my other post where i was unsuccessfully looking for tool which can do the job in macOS.
Now i have decided to try to look for a tool under WindowsOS.
One recommendation was to try "Pgcdemux" (thanks to ProWo), It did the job, however all three existing audio tracks from DVD had same AC3 file size, odd.
Meanwhile i have tried also to load the DVD vob files into Audacity, you can load only one VOB file, but you can save into AC3. At the end you have to join all AC3 from separate VOBs. What is odd, that the final AC3 file size is very different from the final AC3 file size from Pgcdemux tool.
Based on this findings i am not 100% convinced that one or other software is doing it right.
Please advice, or better enlight me.
Kind Regards,
VLP
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

There were Three languages in total
1) Language A - 1.0 = 163MB AC3
2) Language A - 2.0 = 163MB AC3
3) Language B - 2.0 = 163MB AC3
Why all of them had exact same file size, while each of them is different quality or language
example:
i was expecting something like
1) Language A - 1.0 = 120 MB AC3
2) Language A - 2.0 = 157 MB AC3
3) Language B - 2.0 = 163 MB AC3 -

Well you can inspect the files using mediainfo.
But I suspect that each file has the same bitrate. Filesize = runlength * bitrate
Typically you get two types of audio. A LPCM track which will be a significantly larger size due to the bitrate and an ac3 track which is what you see here. -
i am sorry you were right! i Moved one of the VOB into mediainfo:
Also i have went and opened other DVD9 and it had different results. So it seems i should stick with Pgcdemux
So, i am sorry for my own mistake. I wanted to have it right
