Anyone using the Purple Bulkpaq dvd-r for dvd backup in the UK?
£23.49 for 50 with free delivery until May 1st seems rather cheap to me!
If so, what success have you had with them and what hardware do you use to burn them?
    Many thanks,
    Will

  3. I've bought a lot of them (200) and i got 50/50 for now (30 burnt)
I use a pionner 105 for burnin on an athlon 2200
I hope the rest of my dvd-r's will be of a better quality but for sure I will not buy purple bulqpak anymore(i got green dvd-r 2x wich seems of a better quality)

  4. In my experince (over 2000 discs burned) both the 1x and 2x bulkpaqs are poor quality, although i do admit that the 2x is slightly better quality.

Bulkpaq are releasing a 4x disc any day now which will hopefully be both cheap and good quality.... we will see....

    Thanks folks, much appreciated.
I'll steer clear of the bulkpaq purple and stick with the £1.00+ per disk types I have been buying.
Anyone any recommendations for type of dvd-r around the £1.00 each mark and where to buy?
    Thanks,
    Will

    Many thanks.
    Been looking at these two.
You obviously had good success with them.
Think I'll give them a go.
I have to send 28 Ritek back to 121cdr tomorrow (they're exchanging them plus the eleven I lost).
I imagine I may get one of the four you mentioned.
    Thanks again,
    Will
