  1. On my TV LG 47LE5810 I can not hear the sound of some movies captured from YouTube.
It does not quite understand why some feel and others do not.
For example audio of video1.mp4 is ok while for video2.mp4 the video is ok but audio is not supported!

    Using MediaInfo i get:

    Code:

I own a different LG TV with the ability to play back audio and video files. The media player feature has limitations on what it can play within the audio and video formats it supports. Some of the restrictions are listed in the manual, but there are likely other restrictions that can only be discovered by trial and error. The main difference I see in the audio is bitrate. video2.mp4 uses lower bitrates for audio.

On my manual is reported as a range of bit rates apply:

    32kbps - 320kbps

    So video2.mp4 should work.

How can I find more information (other than those given by MediaInfo)
to understand what does not work in video2.mp4?

    Thanx!

I'm wondering if it's actually a video problem that is manifesting itself by not playing the audio. In any event, the original poster has learned that TVs are NOT now and never have been "plays anything" devices.

The problem is that I do not want to run a TV video in a format esoteric ... input format is an MPEG-4!

    MPEG-4 is a STANDARD!

    Or am I wrong?

    Hi
Try re-coding the audio in video2 to higher bitrate.
    Like this:-
    Code:
    ffmpeg -i video2.mp4 -c:v copy -c:a aac -strict experimental -b:a 220k -ar 44100 -ac 2 new_video2.mp4

I've tried with ffmpeg but audio is not recognized!

MP4 is a standard, but your TV may not fully support the standard. It may play MP4 files but not all possible MP4 files. TVs are very restrictive about what they play.

Ok, I agree: the TV have more stringent requirements on the characteristics of the file to be executed...
what I do not understand is what is the difference between the two files above that prevents the TV to read the audio!

    Maybe it's the file size?
One is much larger than the other?
On page 96 of the manual of the TV ( http://www.lg.com/it/supporto-prodotto/lg-47LE5810# )
there are no reported limitations that relate to the two files ...
