The following is a warning for anyone thinking of purchasing Muvee Reveal.
I bought the program several years ago and loved it. It was great for making a quickie slideshow. You simply chose the pictures, music and style and it automatically produced a professional looking slideshow that matched the number of slides to the length of the music.
After getting a new computer, I didn't re-install it for some time. Ultimately, I attempted to install my original program (version 8) but Windows refused to install it. The latest version of the program was on sale so I bought it. It installed correctly but shut down when attempting to produce the slideshow video.
The program was not sold directly my Muvee. Instead, it was sold through a third party - 2checkout.com.
When the program didn't work:
- I contacted Muvee support twice and didn't get a response.
- I contacted 2checkout.com asking for a refund. They said that they would refer the issue to Muvee and get back to me. I didn't get a response.
- I contacted 2checkout.com twice asking for a status report. - no response.
- I searched the net looking for a solution and found a thread which reported similar problems with no resolution from Muvee.
- I have now contacted VISA and disputed the charge.
The program is still available for sale.
Therefore, beware. Do not purchase this program.
