    Hi everybody,

As I continue to create Bollywood karaoke video files with aegisub, I encounter sometimes a problem with uncropmkv.

First, why do I want to uncrop my files? This could appear silly, and a loss of time.
Answer: I do want sentences to appear inside the black stripes, and not to overlap with the beautiful images (see Image1)

So I use uncropmkv, and it works perfectly most of the time.

Today I got a problem with the movie Dhoom_2.
In the Image2, you will see that the movie does not appear in the middle of the uncropmkv window.

As soon as I click upon "Queue", this knew window appears (Image3)

Then I click on "Start", and instantly the job seems to be done, but actually it is not (Image4).

You'll find the MediaInfo file attached.

So I tried to remember one of your precious advices, and I used handbrake to convert my video file.
Then I could use uncropmkv normally, this time it worked.

How can I eliminate the handbrake step?

Just a guess but you will see the comment under properties in Image2 that the codec is unsupported. So my guess that it supports AVC (h264) but not HEVC (h265) and that is what your video was.

No other solution but to convert from h265 to h264 (assuming, of course, that the video you now created in handbrake was indeed h264)

Well, Vidcoder is a very good software
It looks much like handbrake, so it seems familiar to me, and it does what you wrote: uncrop the file, that is very convenient.

    Thank you for it.
