Recording MMS stream from a certain point?

Have you tried with latest VLC? Or do you get same error as in that other post?

The only method I know that would work is to use a screen capture tool. Maybe WM Capture or Replay Video Capture.

It does not give an error but simply stops the video if I try to navigate. I am aware of screen capturing software, but for me there is no point of recording if the original quality is unkept.

I also tried changing Start Time in VLC, but then the stream does not load.

I've been able to do that with WebVideoCap by creating a .asx playlist with a starttime value. Example:
