I was wondering, which operating system would be better (faster) for video encoding? Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Here are my computer specs:
Windows XP Professional SP2
1GB of RAM
2.8GHz Pentium 4
I'm currently using Windows XP Pro, but i'm looking at 3 hrs for my regular encodes, and yes, ive tweaked the operating system a lot. Would 2000 offer any benefit in speed over XP?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I think the choice of encoder would have more effect than the OS. If there is a difference, I doubt it would be significant.
Anyone correct me if I am wrong. Some people say dog is mans best friend. I say that man is dog's best slave... At least that is what my dogs think. -
