  1. hai friends.
    i am a newbie
    please suggest me below softwares

    1) A software which converts mkv to mp4 format without reencoding and keeping the file size and quality same.
    2) A software which supports to add multiple audio tracks to mp4 movie without converson or reencoding the mp4 movie or mp4 video and keeping the file size and quality same.
    3) A software which extracts audio tracks from mkv and mp4 and avi without converson or reencoding the audio track of the video(mkv/mp4/avi)
keeping the audio track length(duration) , size and quality same.
    4) A software which joins multiple mp4 files into a single file and single file into multiple file.

I wasted 2 years searching in the net i was helpless.
Lastly i found this site and i am confident this site provides good softwares for requirements.
so i am asking what softwares will help me to fulfil above needs.

i downloaded ffmpeg software but i got mad how to use the codes to convert videos.
but finally i found these softwares in this site.

But i dont know which softwares will give the best results among the all the softwares in this site.
    so guys help me please.

Look on Avidemux - use "Copy" overall, then not reencoding files

  3. Or MKVToMP4 for 1). MP4Box with a GUI and MKVToolNix can do most, if not all, of the rest.

  5. 1) and 2) You shouldn't be converting to or from a VOB file. VOB files are a little different from other media files, use something that accepts or makes a DVD structure.
    2) and 3) FFMPEG! It's not difficult.

  7. You can try rebox.NET and/or it's new replacement (in beta) BOX4.

How about MyFFMPEG or Avanti? Or one of the many other FFMPEG GUIs.

Most other programs ARE FFMPEG by another name. No-one is going to waste their time writing encoders/decoders for multiple codecs and there's NO point in writing straight demuxers for multiple containers for any reason (other than specialists like mp4box and MKVToolNix).

Unless these files are from the EXACT SAME larger file....this WILL NOT happen without re-encoding. There is no magic or hidden software that
can join files that have come from different sources without re-encoding. 2 years of searching should have told you that.

  10. Generally software must be capable to COPY and MUXING - some containers may have limitations (only sane combination supported) if additional requirement is "no ffmpeg" (or similar) then number of possible choices is highly limited.
I would go for remuxer with Transport Stream capabilities as seem that MPEG-TS is most flexible container (accepting combining many different codecs) - so tsMuxeR perhaps?.

In two years of searching, you should have learned that MKV and MKA are containers, not formats. So the video and audio (along with any other streams or attachments) are merely placed within that container. I won't suggest ffmpeg below, since you said you hate it, but you would do yourself well to learn it. If you have been searching for that long and still not found any solutions for the questions below, it seems you are looking for an overly simple solution where all you have to do is give it a filename and say 'go'. Many of the solutions available are quite simple, but you still have to exercise a little patience and learn how to use them.

Note that even if you do not re-encode, your file sizes will change somewhat, simply by nature of changing the container that your video and audio streams are in.

    1) A software which converts mkv to mp4 format without reencoding and keeping the file size and quality same.
Note: this is only possible if the video stream is already in an MP4 compatible format, such as AVC or h.264, otherwise you have to re-encode.
AviDemux is one possibility - use 'copy' option for both video and audio. Choose MP4 as the output container.

    2) A software which supports to add multiple audio tracks to mp4 movie without converson or reencoding the mp4 movie or mp4 video and keeping the file size and quality same.
    MP4Box.
Note that My MP4Box GUI is not compatible with the updated versions of MP4Box.

    3) A software which extracts audio tracks from mkv and mp4 and avi without converson or reencoding the audio track of the video(mkv/mp4/avi) keeping the audio track length(duration) , size and quality same.
    AviDemux, MP4Box, or MKVCleaver

    4) A software which joins multiple mp4 files into a single file and single file into multiple file.
MP4Tools. As someone else already pointed out, joining files only works if the video and audio properties are identical, which is pretty much only possible if the files were originally part of the same file. Otherwise, re-encoding is unavoidable.

And suggest me softwares to complete below tasks
1)how to convert vob to mp4/mkv/avi
IF you have the entire DVD rip, you can load it into VidCoder and convert the titles you want into MP4 or MKV files.
If you have just random VOB files that have been removed from their natural environment in the VIDEO_TS folder, it gets a LOT more complex. If you get frustrated just trying to use ffmpeg, you'll go bloody looney trying to work with orphaned VOB files.

2)how to convert mp4/avi/mkv to vob
This is only useful if you're creating DVDs. So any of a number of DVD encoding/authoring programs, such as AVStoDVD.

3)how to convert mka audio which is extracted from mkv video to mp4(m4a) audio format which is suitable to merge with mp4 video.
As mentioned above, MKA is a container, not an audio format. It is rarely used, since it is an audio-only container, and most audio codecs (MP3, WAV, etc.) already have their own native containers. Other audio formats, such as DTS and AC3, that are used in DVDs and BDs, are usually packed along with their respective video streams, so they have to be in an MKV container. And MKV can be used even if there is audio with no video.
I don't know if MKVCleaver would work on MKA files, since I've never actually encountered an MKA file myself.
xrecode claims to be able to convert from MKA. It's TrialWare, so I don't know what limitations there are in the unpaid version.

  12. TO : @ awgie

I cant see the Image attachments what you send in message mate.
because when i click on image attachment in pm, it is showing - " Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator "

can you please repost the image attachments in this thread mate

what the information, i understood from the pm that you send to me is friend is

    1st situation -
the actual file format is mpeg2 when it is in DVD source and we converted to mkv format.
now this mkv file which is in mpeg2 format actually should be converted to mpeg4(mp4) then in this situation
reencoding is done because mpeg2 should be converted to mpeg4.Thats it mate.
for this i should use vidcoder to put into mp4 container.

    2nd situation
initially if video format is AVC/h.264 and we converted to mkv then we wanted to convert mkv to mp4 here reencoding is not needed.
    thats it mate.
here softwares used are avidemux or MKVtoMP4

please repost images what you send in pm to me in this thread again and give reply to me mate.

Sorry, I was having a terrible time putting images into that PM at all, so when they finally showed up on my screen (and curiously enough, they still do show up on my screen), I assumed it had worked.

So here's the whole message again - hopefully with working images this time. Note, there are a number of programs that will do what you need. The examples I give are just the ones that I have used and had success.

You can use something like MediaInfo or MKVToolNix to see what is actually inside the container. I'll use MKVToolNix here as an example.

Here is one MKV file. It came from a DVD source, so the video is in MPEG2 format, and needs to be re-encoded as MPEG4 using something like VidCoder in order to be put into an MP4 container.

And another one. This video is AVC/h.264, so you could use something like AviDemux with the 'copy' options and set the output container to 'MP4' and simply place the existing video stream into the MP4 container instead of the MKV container. Someone else also mentioned MKVtoMP4 to be able to do this.

He's right, it really isn't. I'm an old geezer and I've been able to master FFMPEG, information here.
