  1. Newbie here. I have several old Digital 8 tapes from a Sony DCR-TRV120 that no longer works. Will a DCR-TRV280 play the tapes from my DCR-TRV120? Thanks!

    As long as they are the same format (NTSC, PAL, SECAM).

    The European models have the letter E attached in their model number (for example "Sony DCR-TRV120E").

    Btw, there is no distinction between PAL and SECAM in digital formats, as it's the exact same thing in the digital realm.

    The user manual by typing exactly your model number.

    models ending in "E" are usually the PAL versions.
