Handbrake error - scan: unrecognized file type

I'm trying to access MKV files I encoded with MakeMKV from a DVD I no longer have.

I'm getting the error - scan: unrecognized file type.

What do I do?

what does mediainfo (view=>text) say about the mkv ? copy & paste the results back here

Or other option is to use other software e.g. ripbot, megui, xvid4psp etc...

The file name was in Hebrew. Handbrake hates Jews apparently (joke).
