    I know you guys are gonna tell me to use virtualdub, but is there any standalone filter programs out there to clean up captured VHS video!!!!!

    TMPGENC, ATI VideoSoap (for ATI AIW cards),
    and then hardware too (TBC, VCR, PROC AMP, etc)

    i capture using a canopus advc100 will i ba able to use video soap, and if so where can i get it?

    ???? I've done it.

    Once the video is captured & on your computer, that is when you run soundsoap. I received Soundsoap in a bundle with other software, & can't remember which one now. I also have used Sonic Foundry Noise Reduction in the past, which I think came bundled with my SoundForge 6 purchase about a year ago. I like Soundsoap better because all you have to do is click a few buttons, render & you are done.

    EDIT.... sorry, I see you were asking about Video Soap, not Soundsoap.
