    Do you have the world's most clever encoder settings?

    I don't know if there's a way to prevent x264 from writing them, but if you split an MKV with MKVToolNix, only the first section will retain the settings, so you could add a few extra frames to the beginning of an encode and then split them off later.

    you can save video from SMMVSplitter video splitter
    this software clean all Encoding settings from videos
