  1. Why would my Panasonic DMP-BD60 playback HD Blu-ray BDMV (MPEG2) burnt onto BD's (BD-R), but won't play HD Blu-ray BDMV (AVC) burnt onto BD's (BD-R)? All I get is audio with the AVC.

My Sony BDPS390 will play both without issue.

How do you convert, author and burn on BD-R?
    What is your video source?

Some players are very picky about the blu-ray avc format. Like correct frame size/resolution, avc encoding profile, etc.

    Thanks for your reply.

In the case of MPEG 2, I am just using TMPGenc Authoring Works to Convert/Author

With AVC, I am capturing with Hauppauge HDPVR, I am using VideoReDo to edit, and then TSMuxer to author

In both instances I am using ImgBurn to burn to BD-R.

    @ _brice

Panasonic players can be quite picky indeed.
You can try to load your (edited) video in multiAVCHD. Like johns0 said in the thread linked by Panash,
multiAVCHD will highlight the sourcefile in red when not meeting bluray/avchd standards.
    Then you'll have to re-encode.

    @ Panash

I remember having difficulties with tsMuxer errors within multiAVCHD.
Maybe replacing the tsMuxeR.exe file in multiAVCHD's tools folder with another/newer one will solve the issue?

    cheers

Yep. So try author the avc with VSO Free AVCHD Editor and see if it plays in your Panasonic Player. Report back if it works!

And I think I have to add a note to the software tsmuxer page about this issue.
