    Hiya!

Tried several times now to get audio sync when making a XSVCD or rather Generic MPEG-2 (incl muxing as MPEG-2 and/or XSVCD etc) but to no avail. Doing the standard 2500 SVCD, the audio sync is dead-on, but not so here... Any suggestions? Apart from the obvious "stick to 2500" I'd like to, but some of my friends get annoyed with 3 and 4 disc titles, and would like me to try XSVCDs instead.

If you are not ripping the entire title set from a DVD into one giant VOB, you will get sync issues ... simple as that.

I *have* ripped the entire film from DVD to one VOB, Antny... just the same way I've previously done and gotten excellent results w ffmpegx (doing SVCDs). I just wondered why switching to generic mpeg2 streams kicks the audio sync to hell... don't get that at all...

    P.S.
The test file (1 chapter ripped to VOB) has also synced perfectly when encoded as SVCD using standard ffmpegx settings.
