    Is there something in the vegas pro program that will put an arrow or like a little circle on someone so that you can highlight them? Does this make sense? I want to make it so that you can see where the person is at the start of each little clip.

    You would do a circle wipe and adjust background level.

    Arrows are done easily by creating a png file with a transparent background in your favorite still image program, then dropping it onto the time line above the video. Use Track Motion to place it where it needs to go, or to animate it over time with keyframes.

    You could also look at the cookie cutter for that old 'silent movie' look
