  1. Hi... I have two videos, the same movie, with the same scenes.

One russian 1080p Remux with total time: 01:37:33 23.976fps

European deinterlaced version: 01:33:29 25 fps

The movies are identical except for the fact that the russian version is more slow and the duration is more than the other.

How I can stabilize who is the correct movie between these two?

I want to take the audio from the 01:33:29 and the video from 01:37:33

I have two ways stretch the audio or make the russian movie more fast.

    What Can I Do?

  2. The 23.976 fps one is almost certainly the correct one. It's quite common for 24 fps film to be sped up to 25 fps for PAL broadcast/devices.

  3. But, the 25fps version is from the original interlaced dvd that was 50fps interlaced. Anyway, what can I do?

  5. Ok, I know how to stretch the audio, but if I want to make the russian movie faster, I don't know how to do that.

Why don't you just listen to what jagabo says?

25fps PAL comes from the well known 4% acceleration, also impacting the audio. You probaly know that PAL releases have "wrong" audio when transferred from film, because it is accelerated.

Take that video and adjust the audio

  7. Ah ok, Lollo, I didn't understand that Jagabo was advising me to change the audio and not touch the video. Now that I understood that, I will listen to what Jagabo says. And I didn't know that PAL releases have wrong audio. Now I know, Thanks.

Our preferred TV series / movies are affected by the 4% audio pitch speed-up. If you listen to original voices in films (24fps) and compare to PAL releases (25fps) the difference is evident

Sometime the dubbing done after video conversion fix the issue. Evaluate case-by-case

  9. I would take whichever video is best and work from there.
