  1. I don't get what the hek I'm doing wrong here!!!!

I drop 2 clips into premiere. Edit out some parts I don't want and render it out to one .avi file.

Only problem is the audio is all fine, but the video of the first clip never shows up.....it's gone. So now clip ones audio is playing while I'm seeing the video to clip two. Needless to say after about 5 times of rendering this out and no luck I'm gettin a little PO'd

Anyone have any suggestions. I also can't check the help files in premiere as when I click on them stupid premiere just crash's.

What is your source file codec??

After you've cut your masterpiece, double click on the numbered time bar, and you'll see a work area bar appear..
Hit "Enter" and rendering will happen (assuming you have a red line just under the time bar)..The red line indicates that the source file isn't the same as the project settings..
After you've rendered, you should play back the video and see everything in the project monitor..
If at this point everything is okay, then Export to .AVI, with "work area bar" selected...
If after rendering, you don't see anything in the project window, then i'd suspect a codec issue...

Also quickly doublecheck that you didn't poke the eyeball on the Track number..

    Good luck!!

So you have your project settings to AVI with codec set to huffyuv? Are your import files huffyuv as well? And you are outputting huffyuv?

    What are the audio settings?

I think you are seeing the results of mismatched project vs import file settings. Premiere needs to convert (aka conform) import files to project format.

    Lots of info here
