I would like to be able to record HD TV shows and play them commercial-free. Can you advise me what additional hardware I require and the appropriate software to use.

The TV is a Panasonic Plasma one (2008), PC uses Windows XP Pro, have new MacBook Pro, Sony PS3, HD cable box (Ontario, Canada).

How do I go about streaming from PC to Hard Drive, thence wireless signal to my PS3?

As you may have gathered, I know very little about this area. I don't know what hard drive to buy, if needed, or what else is required. Should I try to copy through my cable box, if so, how, or is working through my PC advisable.

Thank you very much for your help.

Over the past several years, I have gained much from you in terms of permitting my DVD players to operate region-free.

I believe the preferred method is to record to the Cable TV STB, use the Hauppauge 1212 HD-PVR to get the recording off of the STB and into your computer and VideoRedo 4 to get rid of the commercials without having to recode the files.
