    I try to rip a DVD using an old version of DVD Decrypter, but it gets an error at the beginning of the first of the largest VOBs.This works for any rip program, and also for DVDs of other parts of the sequal (except the first one).
    However, VLC plays the DVD very well.
    Is there any rip program that bypasses this DVD "scratch"?

    if this is a new release movie use dvdfab. dvd decrypter is outdated and will not woek for new release movies.

    DVDFab was indeed able to copy the DVD to disk.Thanx for the tip!
