    Suddenly when I load an avi file it won't play and if I check filters it's using mpeg filters (Intervideo video)

    Any way I can correct this? I tried reinstalling Divx and Xvid but no go...

    That it's a xvid file. I can play in zoomplayer if I choose an avi mediagraph. But all avi files are suddenly defaults to be played with Intervideo. Weird.

    I found the problem. It was caused by a to high merit value for the Intervideo Demultiplexer in Directshow filters.
