What paint program do you use for your computer?

On my main design PC's, I use Photoshop (v7, CS2, CS3), but on all others and one's of the users I manage (because I don't want to have to pay for MANY licenses) I use Paint.net.

Paint.NET because it's free and feature rich when you add the powerful free plugins for it. Photoshop7 because that's the best version in my opinion, powerful yet not over-bloated with useless features.

Also, this isn't really a paint program, though it has some minor abilities, I use Irfanview almost daily as well for quick scanning, spec or two retouching or color balancing and resizing. I find it to be equally as invaluable.

Irfanview handles most of what I need to do with images. I use Paint on occasion. I've downloaded GIMP but can't say I've ever used it. I've loaded it up a few times to try to figure out how to use it but nothing about it seems intuitive to me, so I put it off for when I have more time to play with it. Which never seems to happen...

Actually, I only just moved from using MS Paint to the little known (probably for a reason) Grafx2 and have been loving it.

GIMP - the best image editor for tux users, as good as or better than any pro s/w in win OS.
it has windows version too. Those who just wanna learn something new than Adobe PhotoShop, should give GIMP-WIN a try!

I tried the Windows version of the GIMP a few years ago. It was equivalent to Paint Shop Pro 8. I don't think it provides the same range of features as the full version of Photoshop.

u have used both so you know better than me coz i never used PhotoShop.
my all requirements are met with GiMP plus few simple GiMP filters I have compiled for other program as well and I am happy with results.

GIMP, here. It's the best freeware editor I've found to date (although I do sometimes use Irfanview for lightweight editing.
