If you are running XP with NTFS the maximum size of a file is limmited only by the isze of your HD (or partition). Only WIN9x with FAT32 filesystem are stuck with a max file size of 4Gig. However, some programs (badly written) may themselves limit the isize of their ouput (or input) files. In these cases commonly seen file size limits are 2G or 4G. If your system is like this, get a newer version if you can or change programs.
