Trouble Playing Recovered Videos from Iphone

I recently went back and recovered quite a few videos from my Iphone. Most of the videos play fine, but some I cannot get to play. When I open the files I cannot play in notepad they have the heading "ftypmp42 mp41mp42isom". I have tried multiple players: quicktime, vlc media player, windows media player, itunes, etc. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Try first remux it with mymp4boxgui, add the mp4, click save as and mux. Or with mkvmergegui, open the mp4, make a new mkv.

If they fail try graus video repair tool. Try trial first and see if it's repairable. You select the broken mp4 and a working mp4 and run it.
