I converted some taped home video to DVDs a couple of years ago. I did a terrible job of checking my work. The DVD's have some errors in them which cause looping. I initially thought it was the DVD itself so I copied it onto my hard drive. When I run the video on my hard drive (just watching it real time) Windows media player gets stuck in a loop in several spots. I can click past the loop and the playback will resume. I would like to correct this so I am asking advise on what software I should use to do this. When I run the MakeMKV the log shows audio sync errors which it tries to correct and fails. The videos have audio sync problems in general which I would like to correct as well.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

So you can copy the video your hdd without any problems?
What happens if you run vob2mpg? DO you get a mpg file with similar errors? Try also play with several players like VLc media player.
