I am trying to convert DV-Avi to x264 using avisynth script/MeGUI. Is there a Avisynth version of "Camcorder Color Denoise"? If not, what are some of the denoiser for avisynth that are close to it? I tried UnDot and Convolution3D and both doesn't give me good result. I tried a small clip with Camcorder Color Denoise with virtualdub and the result look much better. But I don't want to use virtualdub for x264. So I hope to find a denoiser that does almost the same in avisynth.

  2. Try cnr2 or some other chroma noise reducer.

I don't think those are chroma noise as my source is DV.. I thought only TV captured source will have chroma shift?

You can use the VDub filter with Avisynth, see the following thread.

  5. Any video can have chroma and/or luma noise. And they take many forms. Maybe you should post a screen cap or short clip.
