  4. I was able to almost completely remove similar horizontal bars from an amateur Kinescope of a 1950s NFL game (only known capture of a 1950s NFL TV broadcast). Here is the "before/after":

    Your vertical bar is pretty subtle, so I don't know if my algorithms would be able to detect it.
