In the recent past I was able to download from Crackle using youtube-dl. Not so anymore. It tries and goes through its list of geo identifiers, but ends up with an HTTPS error of some kind. Additionally, I have two separate plugins in Chrome to download videos and while they DO download the result is encrypted. Any help?

In particular, I'm trying to grab the Men In Black Animated Series episodes from the site. Thanks.

If you're getting the 401 error,it means you're not in US and need to use a VPN. Even tho their content is encrypted, youtube-dl does kinda work, but it's a different error.
You need to remove the "sony" part from "sonycrackle.com/watch/..."

    Input code:
    Code:
    C:\ytb-dl\youtube-dl "http://www.crackle.com/watch/3235"
    [Crackle] 3235: Downloading config
    [Crackle] 3235: Downloading XML

I saw on github someone recommending to use an older version of youtube-dl. They claimed it still worked, but I get the same results as you just demonstrated. I think LZAA is correct, the site is encrypted now.
