When a try to convert a videofile (.mov or m2v) to a FLV file, I don't have probelms with the video.
But, if I select Convert Audio, the conversion doesn't work. (the bell rings very fast and the file is 0KB.
The same problem if I select under Audio a seperate audio file for conversion. Does anybody knwo this problem. (invert mapping doesn't solve the problem).

And I need the audio with my video file.

have you tried to convert with another app such as VisualHub?
does it produce the same results?

What if you try to upload it to Youtube to see if it will convert?
Does the Youtube converter produce an error?

Obviously there is something wrong with your audio, perhaps
the codec used in creating it is the problem.

Last, what happens if you convert the .mov file to .DV stream,
making it as vanilla as possible....If you can do this, can you then
create your .flv file from that?

Hi I just got ffmpegx and I am trying to convert mov files made with final cut pro into flash for the net.
right now instead of seeing the file to be converted, ffmpegx shows UNREC_KEY and it won't encode.
    any ideas?
    thanks

Try taking the .mov file into Visual Hub and creating the Flash file there.

I did that, but the free conversions are 2 minutes, I would have to buy the program..my videos are longer than 2 minutes. I actually managed to convert to flash (there were binaries missing and I managed to download them) in ffmpegx, the problem now is that the files are always 4 or 5 MB, they are very small and I'm not sure how to view them (in what program)..
    thanks for your help

Install the Perian component for QuickTime, to enable QuickTime Player to play FLV files.
