    I saw this decades old thread and would like to ask a follow up question. I'm sure any of the programs programs would be perfect for my use, but they won't run on a Mac. Can anybody point me in the right direction? TIA

    Photoshop. (Or Illustrator, Pagemaker, InDesign). Hands down. Those all work identically on Mac & PC.

    Particulary helpful is the ability to overprint/bleed to account for cropping. Also layering is immensely helpful for composition. Then there's the color matching (either spot or process modes).
