I exported my video as a .mov file, but when it played back in quicktime the screen was green with no audio.
The files in the timeline of Final Cut display 'reconnect media' although those files play in the canvas with no issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What video and audio codec are using? Mov is just a container.
And I'm moving you to our mac section. -
The actual files DO need to be reconnected for exporting to happen.
Playback is done on render files, which aren't used to actually
create the final product.
They way Final Cut works:
You place files in the timeline.
Final Cut writes an xml file that says were the media should be located.
You make cuts to the files in the timeline.
Final Cut makes notations of those cuts in its xml file.
You export the timeline to QT .mov file.
Final cut goes back to the original media, performs cuts according
to the .xml file, and then creates a new file from those commands.
I would first try to reconnect the original media, save the timeline
sequence, and then try export again."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
