Here's a tip that I found out the hard way. I just finished authoring a DVD-9 using DVD Lab Pro (very nice authoring program). After I compiled it, some of the menu selections wouldn't play. I redid it a couple of times each time carefully checking chapter marks and link assignments. Every thing appeared OK but the result was the same each time. Some of the menu selections didn't work and it would hang Power DVD when I selected a bad link.
Finally! I found my problem. I happed to notice a selection pull-down on the bottom right of the screen where DVD-5 or DVD-9 can be selected. It is out of the way and not obvious. DVD Lab Pro gave no warning when the DVD was compiled. It just happily produces a DVD with non functioning menu links when you run the compile. After I made the change to DVD-9, everything was fine.
I hope this spares someone else some frustration.
