    Install FFDSHOW and make default decoder or POTPLAYER. Its show a decoder error.

  5. In MPCHC: View -> Options -> Internal Filters (left pane) -> Transform Filters (right pane) -> H264/AVC. The older MPC doesn't have one, you have to use a system installed DirectShow filter like ffdshow.

  6. everything is ticked in transform filters, i use a new version of mpc hc, 1.7.9
    still need to install ffdshow?

    the video plays, frozen on opening frame, then if i leave it, it'll occasionally load a new frame, every few minutes

    most likely a bad copy of a copyright movie. most don't have 2 video stream, one mp4 and one jpg, and 2 audio streams one aac and the other drms(whatever that is!!!)

  12. I believe that's DRM protected video from iTunes. You won't be able to play it outside iTunes. And even there you'll need a license.
