    Hello-

I have several AVI clips that I would like to generate thumbnail indexes for. I noticed that in Media Player Classic version 6.4.9.0, there is an option in the "file" menu to "Save Thumbnails". It appears to be exactly what I want in that it allows the user to determine the number of rows and columns of thumbnails and image width in pixels. However, when I attempt to generate the image file, I get the following error message:

    GetCurrentImage failed, hr=8000ffff

and no image is generated. I have tried this with several different types of AVI's, MPEG's, etc with the same result.

Does anyone have any experience with this and/or is there another free or cheap software to accomplish what I am trying to do?

    Thanks in advance

    Big Dave

ImageGrabber II does the same thing and has quite a few options. The original site is at Brinkster and has exceeded it's limits for the moment. You can get it here as well : http://rs129.rapidshare.com/files/28319947/Image_Grabber_II.rar

    It's free and above board.

I assume it's just being overly sensitive.

All good now. Before Avast would pop during the downloading. Now the download completes and a scan of the file produces no alerts.
