    Hi,

I'm trying to make a back-up of Casino Royale (blu-ray). I ripped the main movie file+ac3 audio using AnyDVD & TSremux & the file size is just over 26gb, so I need to reduce it to fit a single layer BD-R. I tried to use ripbot264, but I get an error message as soon as I press the start button (screenshot attached). The easiest way would be to split the file & burn on 1 bd-r & 1 dvd, but I want to keep the movie on 1 disc.

AVisynth, ffdshow, haali media splitter and .Net Framework are installed on my computer, so I'm not sure what's causing problem.

    Thanks

What encoding settings are you using? 2-pass? and what profile?

And you can try upgrade to latest ripbot264 1.11 that was released a few hours ago.

I saw another thread where updating the haali media splitter seemed to help. Also what versions of AVISynth and ffdshow are you using? That error is too generic to get much info. When you go to 'more information' is the problem program listed?

  4. The problem is with the older version of x264.exe r998 and earlier - it was documented to have problems with AMD systems. Several people using ripbot fixed it by replacing the x264.exe with an older version.

It has been fixed since and should be ok with the newest ripbot264 (x264 r1016 is bundled) as Baldrick pointed out, and there is more info at Doom9 forums if you want.

I'm using 2-pass encoding with a file size limit, & the profile is HD Console. I just upgraded to the latest ripbot, & it seems to be working now, at least it started encoding. I'll post an update once it's finished, it's gonna be a while. Thanks!

I have 1 question - If I don't process the audio in ripbot, i.e. choose 'No Audio' in the audio profile, will I be able to add the audio file later using TSmuxer? I'll reduce the file size limit in ripbot accordingly.

I just installed everything yesterday, so I guess I have the latest versions except for ripbot, an update to which was released today (which I just downloaded).

    Hey Guys,

The whole movie was gonna take over 2 days to encode in my old system, I tried a sample file instead. The encoding was successful & it's playing perfectly on my PS3. Thanks for the help.

p.s. I didn't encode the audio with Ripbot. I demuxed sample file & only imported the video file in Ripbot. I remuxed the resulting file with the original audio.

All the 'others' are RipBot. It's a GUI that operates those programs. The individual programs are mostly listed in the included 'Tools' folder. Quite a few are command line programs without a GUI, so they are usually operated via scripts. But you can run tsMuxeR and eac3to from a GUI.

What do want to do with the program?
