Quick dumb question.
Does this ONLY capture in DV format?
Or would this device be recognized by VirtualDub as a Capture Source?
I've not been able to get a DV codec working in Windows 7 Professional. But could easily encode to Huffy or whatever else, if this device is supported by Vdub.
GAH! I picked the wrong forum, I'm so sorry.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

It doesn't 'capture' at all, just transfers the DV video file to your computer. You can't change that.
Try using WinDV for the transfer. -
As far as I know, it only does DV output over Firewire.
Which DV codec(s) have you tried to get working under Win7? Try downloading and installing the trial version of Corel's VideoStudio Pro; it supports DV-over-Firewire from the ADVC100. (Or at least it does on my machine.) -
Actually, you CAN use virtualdub to capture with an ADVC. Well it just worked with my 300
-
Yes, but of course it's just taking in the DV stream from the ADVC via DirectShow.
