I am getting a Dell Inspiron 6400 with Media Center and I read some posts on other forums recommending not to get their Tuner which is over priced. Can you please provide input on which external Tuner to get that supports the following
- MPEG encoding
- Multisystem - Pal / NTSC
- Media Center support
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I don't know about the PAL/NTSC part but take at look a this Hauppauge unit: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvrusb2mcekit.html
Or if you wanted to go internal, one of the PCI cards. -
yeah I heard good reviews about Win-TV. I cant go internal in the laptop so I am forced to use external USB only. I couldnt find a Pal/NTSC unit unfortunately

WinTV USB should be fine. For HD, you can get Hauppauge's or Pinacale's
