Hi, I usually use Virtualdubmod and I would like to encode part of a clip in slow-motion. I see that VDM has a frame rate option where I can change the rate from 25fps to 12fps, for example. But this makes it impossible to merge the clip back into the 25fps video? What I would like to do, is double (or triple) each frame for a period of time in order to get that slow-motion look, but keeping the frames per second the same.
Is there a filter or something for this?
Thanks

In the top part of VirtualDub's frame rate dialog select "change to [12.5] frames per second". Then in the middle section select "Convert to fps: [25]".
That will duplicate each frame. For 1/3 speed use 8.3333 instead of 12.5.
Audio will be out of sync of course. -
If you're feeling adventurous try the AVISynth script in this thread:

The MVTools filter uses motion compensation to generate in-between frames. It works pretty well on some material.
