I apologize if this question is already answered elsewhere. I searched but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.
So...
I work with subtitling for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and every now and then I get to work with a partially finished project from someone else, full of strange work-arounds that they did back then.
The problem i'm facing now is that I have two .SRTs, one of them has music signs and the other has the dialogues and all.
I need to merge the two subtitles tracks seemlessly... that being, I need the music signs to be on top of the dialogue lines, without breaking time signature.
Example:
