hi all, im new here, but i have heard great things about this forum from the were-here DV forum.
Heres the problem:
I am running win xp with avid xpress dv 3.0 in win2k comptaibility mode, and the app runs fine, however it replacess the capture drivers that win xp comes with, and now the computer wont recognize my Sony DCR-TRV17 min DV camcorder as a capture device. I have a western Digi 1394 capture card. How can I make my camera compatible with avid xpress DV? Will i need to install win 2000? I reinstalled windows xp, and was able to capture again with adobe premiere, but i bought avid express hoping it would be a much better editor, and avid's support has been really hard to deal with over the phone. If anyone can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated.
