Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to make a DVD file system on a CD?
Basically I would like to make a CD that used a DVD system to enable me to create a DTS or DDigital disk so I can demonstrate the 5.1 or 7.1 system. Is it possible to make a CD act like a DVD so I can make a 5.1 system disk?
If it is possible what software would I require to make a DTS-ES/DTS/DDigital/Digital-EX disk?
Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

That would be a miniDVD or also called a cDVD. If your player supports it, though few do, you should be able to make it work. You can look at the miniDVD guide on the toolbar on the left to make it.
Also, another solution to your problem could be a Dolby Digital steam disguised in a regular audio CD. I saw an article about it some where on the web from a link on this forum, but i don't remember what post it was or the url of the site.
One more thing, you could also make a DTS encoded audio CD much like the one above but I have a url. here: http://www.minnetonkaaudio.com/SurCode_CD_Pro_3.htm
it's a program that will make the DTS .wav file you need to burn to a cd then play with home theater equitment. -
Here's the link Donny661 was talking about. Note it's audio only on the disk.

The idea of only audio on the disk doesn't bother me although I would like to do an image or animation as well I must admit. The problem is - and this may sound tight - but I don't want to pay anything. I just want to make a disk to put in my DVD player to coo over once in a while!?!?
Is there any free software that can do it?
Thanks -
ac3machine can output the ac3 wav as descibed in the link Nolonemo gave but i'm not sure if you can use 6 .wav files as a source or if it has to be an already encoded ac3.

OK, here's another possibility. Go here
http://www.cinenow.com/us/vobtrailer_zoom.php3?id=1796
and download a minidvd .iso of dolby digital and THX trailers. Burn using Nero or your favorite burner and away you go!
(I haven't tried this myself)
