Is it possible to use a wireless usb adapter on the WD TV HD Media Player (WDAVN00) to connect to a PC and play media files?

That model doesn't seem to have Ethernet capabilities. If it doesn't have a regular Ethernet socket, then it doesn't have the needed software to use a USB Ethernet adapter either.

  3. You can load up a custom firmware (GGL WDLXTV) and then load wireless support from storage and you might get wireless Lan working on the original WDTV. I had a go but never got it to work .. far too much jiggery-pokery. However the new WDTV live has an ethernet socket and supports wireless usb sticks.
