Could an option be added to check off whether the recorder does the audio in AC3 or MPEG?

    Thanks!

Very few stand alone DVD recorders record MPEG-1 Layer2 audio (also simply called MP2 audio).

Almost all will do LPCM WAV (usually only at the 1 hour setting) and then AC-3 audio.

The only stand alone DVD recorders (that I am aware of) that record MP2 audio are the real cheap POS units like some of the Cyberhome models and other "off-name-brand" units that generally sell for around $100 US Dollars give-or-take.

Such units are to be avoided.
