The audio on my computer was fine, but I had to install K-lite codec pack recently for video related problems. The only thing I fear about that it will interfere with my DAW settings. When I installed K-lite, in the custom install section, I noticed it offered a setting: "Boost Center (Speech volume)" I was not sure what it referred to, but I unticked it, because I don't want any equalization or mixing modifications on my audio input and output. But now I fear it might have added such things to the system anyway in other aspects. Where can I check that it leaves the Audio I/O untouched indeed, at the defaults, and there are no modifications added?

Best thing to do is uninstall k-lite codec and just install the necessary files required,k-lite just messes up systems as you described.
