Good evening,
How might I go about capturing the output of "dshow://" in VLC under Windows 7? I have a VCR connected using the "Geniatech iGrabber USB Video Capture Device" (shudder) which VLC has recognized as a valid capture device; I don't have any idea, though, where to go from here in terms of capturing the stream as a raw *.DV video file.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Unicorns?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Never mind; this turned out to be the simplest problem ever. "show extended settings" > big red record button (plus, of course, a little bit of tinkering to get the quality up to my standards!)
