  1. I compiled libdvdcss from the latest source code into /usr/local/lib:

    Code:
    ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
    make
    sudo make install
When I try to use the Handbrake client to run I receive the following error message below.

    Code:
ERROR: libdvdcss.2.dylib command tool is not setup to execute
ERROR: attempting to use tool at /usr/local/lib/libdvdcss.2.dylib
The file permissions on the files are:

    Code:
    zeus:lib sitrucz$ ll
    total 312
    drwxr-xr-x 7 root wheel 238 Oct 23 09:50 .
    drwxr-xr-x 7 root wheel 238 Sep 24 07:53 ..
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41936 Oct 23 09:50 libdvdcss.2.dylib
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 104336 Oct 23 09:50 libdvdcss.a

I'm running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.

My v1.4.0 source compiled to an 41952 bytes library file. Not sure why that's different from yours. Permissions on my side also detected as -rwxr-xr-x root wheel. Other files in /usr/local/bin/lib and /usr/local/bin/ seem to be linked to <username> staff, instead of root wheel. Not sure if that is important or not.
Having a bit of problems with my DVD drive, so I haven't actually tested ripping.

  6. Thanks for the help but that didn't work. I think my only option is to disable sip unless anyone has further suggestions. My binary total matched yours once I compiled out of git. I've tried Macports and Brew and I receive the same error message.
