problem converting one little file to mpeg MOV (any ideas why)

I took all these files and all but two converted correctly:

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_04_1.VOB
VTS_05_1.VOB
VTS_05_2.VOB this is the problem file...it is the smallest in the bath at 133.4 MB
VTS_06_1.VOB
VTS_07_1.VOB

I get the following info:

[Case]

1/ You should consider joining the files VTS_05_1.VOB and VTS_05_2.VOB, as they belong to the same Video Title Set (05). Then you can convert the combined file to one output file, which should be more convenient for the viewer.

2/ For "Codec type mismatch for mapping" errors, you should try setting the "Invert mapping" checkbox in the audio tab.

I tried the invert mapping box...but that didn't work. I just checked it and tried ENCODE again. I would still love to know why I can view this clip via VLC but can't do anything with it...tried HANDBRAKE too...

Will see if I can figure out the joining part next.

Why I can view this clip via VLC but can't do anything with it...

VLC plays just about anything; good files, partial files and faulty files. The fact that VLC plays something, in no way implies that other tools can convert it.

are there other tools to merge files together other than MTR 3.x? I guess I could try from the command line (unix) and hope I don't blow it.
