    G'day all,

Is there a difference, other than the number, between: Cpu fan E97378-001 ce and
E97379-003 CPU Cooling Fan. My E97378-001 ce, started to snore now and then. Lubrication did nothing to stop it. Both of them look the same, but...
Would the locking pin distances be the same to fit the MB?
    Pictures attached

I"ll be very grateful with an answer.

    Regards

    John

  2. The 0.6 amp fan probably moves a lot more air than the 0.2 amp fan.

  3. Thick oil (car engine) may help, you may consider to use some oil additive based on MoS (molybdenum disulphide) - should help with bad noise from bearing.

Above may look OT but it is quite obvious that Intel don't produce fan's a.k.a ventilators and as such they may use different brands - higher amperage doesn't mean automatically higher flow, commonly lower quality brands consume more power to deliver similar results - check reputable fan vendor such as Pabst and compare their competition - key to performance (on many areas) is not in motor but in blades - good fan usually is less noisy and deliver same performance using less power.
